Three AM Class Wins for NOMAD in WGTC

League

19th March 2019

Round 8 – Canadian Tyre Motorsport Park

NOMAD would like to start by saying goodbye to Jaime Ayres from NOMAD Team Blue. Jaime, through work commitments, has had to retire from WGTC Season 5. NOMAD want to thank Jaime for his contribution and would like to wish safe racing for the future.

Additionally, Barry Baird has been experiencing Hardware problem, fortunately these are now rectified and he will be making a return for Round 9.

With that bit of sad news out of the way, time to shout about the fantastic week NOMAD Green Team had at Canadian Tyre Motorsport in round 8. After some good Qualifying results ready for Race 1, both Jason Dilworth and Simon Underhill set out to be at the top of the AM drivers by the chequered flag. As you can see from the excellent result below, Jason managed Race 1 and Race 3 top AM driver, Simon Race 2. This accumulated in NOMAD Team Green jumping up 2 places in the Team Championship. By the end of the night, Simon had managed to close the gap to the top of the AM Championship to 20 points by being the highest scoring AM driver this week.

Lets hope the next 4 meetings are as lucrative as Round 8.
