My first contact with motorsports was when my dad and I were watching Formula One back in 1996. He was a big Schumacher fan but I loved watching Mika Hakkinen in the McLaren. I stayed a big fan of McLaren through the years and now with Stoffel Vandoorne behind the wheel, I'm as excited as I was back in the old F1 days.
I'm a hardcore gamer and played diverse games competitively in online and LAN tournaments such as Counterstrike Source, League of Legends, Counterstrike: Go, etc...
Me and my friends played casual racing games together on the controller like Grid 2, F1 2015 and Nascar 15. I really loved NASCAR 15 and wanted to try oval racing competitivly against other gamers. The online lobbies of NASCAR 15 were bugged alot and so I was looking together with one of my friends to an alternative game. That's how I found iRacing. That's when I bought my first wheel, a Thrustmaster Ferrari Legend Edition. It was only €45.
My very first race was in the street stock rookie series on Charlotte. After alot of laps on the oval, I started to get interested in the Mazda MX-5, and got hooked with the simracing bug for good. I kept practicing, improving and upgrading my racing setup, step by step.
One of my goals for 2017 was to win a special event. I achieved that goal by winning Petit Le Mans with Mitch Carr for Ponti Motorsports in the Ferrari GTE.
My goals for the future are becoming able to compete in various high skilled leagues and special events.
Also competing at the Sim Racing Expo at the Nurburgring would be on my list. Doing what you love, on a stage at a beautifull location that breaths and sleeps all sorts of motorsports, with a crowd behind you that shares that passion. Nothing must be more exciting. I was in the crowd, last year. I hope I'm on the stage behind a wheel next time I visit the Sim Racing Expo, if they organise such a race again.
