While I have been playing racing games since the dawn of time (the first was Chequered Flag on the ZX Spectrum, and I still have the tape!), iRacing was different. Very different!
Before iRacing, I only played against the computer. And the computer will let you win. And if it doesn't, you just return with a faster car or 'nudge' those CPU AI cars out of the way. But in iRacing, all the other drivers are real people. And they do not let you win. And they get angry if you ram them. And they are good. So incredibly, annoyingly good! In other words, I was hooked, and I find it really difficult now to play anything else. Fortunately, I do not have to since I can sink all my spare time into this little racing simulator trying to git gud. So far I have managed to become 'decidedly average'...
