NOMAD: The Community

19 March 2026

All Posts

NOMAD has been around since 2017. We've been through phases of friends chilling, through to a competitive team, pushed into the esports space, and built some of the best backend systems in sim racing along the way.

But the part that always mattered most wasn't the results. It was the people - the late-night stint planning, the engineers who'd stay up tweaking setups, the teammates who'd talk you through your first 24-hour race. That's what kept us going through every iteration.

So we're making it official: NOMAD is a community now, and we're opening the doors.

What that means in practice

We're welcoming drivers of all skill levels who want to be part of a group that takes team racing seriously without taking itself too seriously. No iRating requirements. No mandatory attendance. No pressure. You can even be in a sweaty eSport team as well and still be a part of the NOMAD community - we'd love to have you.

What you get:

  • Events that find you. Our systems automatically track every iRacing special event, endurance race, and team event. Discord threads are created weeks in advance with all the details and one-click availability surveys via iRacePlan. You'll never miss a Daytona 24 or Spa 24 because nobody remembered to post about it.
  • Teammates who show up. A community of drivers actively looking for people to race team events with. No more scrambling to fill a car the night before.
  • Infrastructure that actually works. Full iRacing data integration, driver stats, race analysis via iRacing Reports, Garage61 team data, and a custom web platform for managing your profile and preferences. This is the kind of tooling that well-funded esports teams build. We just happen to make it available to everyone.
  • Engineering and strategy support. Members who enjoy the setup and strategy side of racing and are happy to share their knowledge. Proper stint planning, fuel strategy, and race-day engineering for the events that need it.
  • A professional identity. Custom liveries (often ready within days of a new car release), a Trading Paints collection, and a merch store. Represent something on track without the politics and pressure of an esports org.
  • Zero commitment. Race what you want, when you want. Optional donations, never fees. The community works around your life.

What we race:

Primarily iRacing, with a focus on endurance and special events - the races that are better with a team. We also have activity in Le Mans Ultimate and other sims. We have a genuine mix of casual and competitive drivers running a variety of series.

How to join:

Head to the signup page, connect your iRacing and Discord accounts, and we'll get you set up. The process is quick and straightforward.

We've been putting this off for too long. The systems are built, the community is here, and there are races to run. Come be part of it.
