League

27th November 2022

The team are celebrating this evening after a dominant performance in Division 3 of IVRA's second round of the GT Sprint 2022 season.

The event took place today at Imola, as the second race in as many days for the team and in particular Ryan Hamilton after yesterday's endurance round performance.

Following last months first round, in which both cars showed good pace, the same lineups made themselves ready in the #256 and #356 cars.

Qualifying went in a flurry of activity with 51 cars on track. #356 qualified in P2 in class, 32nd overall, with #256 in 6th in class and 20th overall.

This round's start got of to a frantic start, with a number of cars off the track around turn 4 of the first lap. A "certain" safety car never materialised, and the teams tried to settle into their runs. This turns out to be easier for the #356 than the #256, with the latter having a couple of self spins in the first stint.

No such dramas for the #356, with Ryan building a commanding lead before handing over to Ayden around the halfway mark. Ayden then drove smartly to defend their huge lead without taking any risks, coming over the line for a well celebrated first position to make up for some disappointment for the pairing in the first round.

The #256 managed to recover to P6 in the end, a couple of tenths back from P5.

Both teams now look forward to round 3 at Daytona – watch out for updates on the event page.
